Most Dubsado-vs-17hats comparisons online are written for photographers. Wedding videographers run a similar business: a booking, a contract, a deposit, a final invoice. But their intake channel is meaningfully different. A large share of inquiries for wedding video still arrive through wedding vendor marketplaces like The Knot and WeddingWire, not a photographer's own portfolio site. That makes one difference between these two tools worth more to a videographer than it is to a photographer: which CRM talks to those marketplaces natively.

Pricing and feature details verified directly against each vendor's public pricing and integrations pages on 2026-08-23. Both vendors change plans, promotions and pricing periodically. Always confirm current pricing on the vendor's site before buying, and treat the 17hats promotional rate above as time-limited.
The marketplace integration is the real differentiator. Wedding videographers, like photographers, get a meaningful share of leads from The Knot and WeddingWire, but unlike a general comparison for photographers, this matters more here because video bookings often arrive later in a couple's planning timeline, after they've already found a photographer through the same marketplaces, making inbound lead capture from those platforms disproportionately important. 17hats connects to both natively; Dubsado does not, and has no listed Zapier path to either. If your leads mostly arrive from your own site or referrals, this difference won't matter to you. If a real share of your bookings start on The Knot or WeddingWire, it's a workflow you'd have to handle manually on Dubsado.
Neither tool has a video-specific delivery integration. It's worth saying plainly: neither Dubsado nor 17hats integrates natively with video hosting or review tools (Vimeo, Frame.io, and similar are absent from both vendors' integration lists). Their photography-adjacent integrations (ShootProof, Fundy, N-Vu on 17hats) are built for photo galleries and prints, not video delivery. Both tools are booking-and-invoicing CRMs, not deliverable-hosting platforms, regardless of which one you choose: plan to keep using a separate video host either way.
17hats now has a genuine free tier. This wasn't true in earlier pricing checks on this site. 17hats added a Free CRM plan with unlimited contacts and projects, capped at four invoices per quarter. For a videographer just starting out and booking fewer than roughly one wedding a month, that free cap may be enough to trial the marketplace integrations above before paying for either tool.
A real wedding-video business runs on Dubsado, for what it's worth. One wedding videography company's own blog describes switching from HoneyBook to Dubsado, citing customization and support, a genuine videography-specific user report, though it's from 2019, predates 17hats' current pricing and integrations entirely, and doesn't compare Dubsado against 17hats in any depth. Treat it as evidence that Dubsado works for a video business, not as a feature comparison (source).
